One dead and several injured in 3-vehicle accident

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says one person is dead and several injured in a three vehicle accident that occurred 4 miles east of Jamesport late Thursday morning.

The Patrol says Kenneth Tally, 70, of Trenton was eastbound Missouri Route 6 in a pick up truck at 9:50 AM yesterday when he slid and sideswiped a 2010 Honda Odyssey driven by Barbara Wagler, 34, also of Trenton.

Tally lost control of his truck crossing into the opposite lane when a 2006 GMC Yukon driven by Devin Burkhiser, 34, of Unionville, attempted to avoid Tally but stuck Tally's front passenger side head on.

Tally suffered serious injuries while occupant Valerie Johnson, 56, of Trenton was pronounced dead at Cameron Regional Medical Center. Neither were wearing their seatbelts.

Tally and two individuals who suffered minor injuries were taken to Wright Memorial Hospital.
